DAY 1:

CUSCO CITY – SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – Inca History Begins

Pick up for 2 Day Tour Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu from your hotel between 6:20 AM and 7:00 AM early start yeah. When group ready we go north direction. First stop Chinchero town beautiful town.

Chinchero is high up 12140 feet (3700 meters) altitude. There we see all wool process how they make wool clothes from start to finish washing wool spinning wool beautiful textiles colorful designs.

Also in Chinchero we see agricultural terraces Inca farming style and ruins of royal house of Inca king Túpac Inca Yupanqui and nice colonial church built on top of Inca building you know history layers.

We keep going tour to Maras Salt Mines place. Maras Salt Mines are around 11154 feet (3400 meters) altitude. There we see natural salt making how they get salt from ground salt water process from Inca times old tradition. After salt mines we go to Moray circles amazing place. Moray is around 11580 feet (3530 meters) altitude. We explore natural holes big depressions used as farming terraces for Inca people experiment with crops different levels different temperatures clever Incas.

Next stop Urubamba town in Sacred Valley. Urubamba around 9420 feet (2872 meters) altitude valley floor. There we eat delicious buffet lunch big choice food for everyone tasty. After lunch we go to Ollantaytambo Fortress big place strong fortress. Ollantaytambo is around 9160 feet (2792 meters) altitude important Inca site. Afternoon time we take train to Aguas Calientes town Machu Picchu town you know town near Machu Picchu city at the foot. We stay night in hotel Aguas Calientes town sleep in hotel ready for Machu Picchu next day. Aguas Calientes is around 6699 feet (2042 meters) altitude jungle climate.

Early morning super early we take shuttle bus up to Inca city Machu Picchu the “Lost City of the Incas” wow place. Machu Picchu high up too 7972 feet (2430 meters) altitude mountain top.

Later time we take shuttle bus back down to Aguas Calientes town down from Machu Picchu. In Aguas Calientes town you can eat lunch local restaurant many places to eat good food.

Then we take train back to Ollantaytambo town train ride scenic views. In Ollantaytambo town our transport team waiting pick you up in van and take you back to Cusco city. Drop you off near historic center Plaza Regocijo easy to walk to your hotel from there finish tour.
